What We Believe
Our faith is rooted in the Bible and guided by the 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Core Beliefs
We are a people of the Book. Our beliefs are anchored in Scripture and expressed in the 28 Fundamental Beliefs — a summary of what Seventh-day Adventists understand the Bible to teach.
The Holy Scriptures
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration. They are the supreme, authoritative, and infallible revelation of God's will.
The Trinity
There is one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — a unity of three coeternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present.
Salvation in Christ
In Christ's life of perfect obedience to God's will, His suffering, death, and resurrection, God provided the only means of atonement for human sin. By faith in His blood we are saved.
The Sabbath
The beneficent Creator, after the six days of Creation, rested on the seventh day and instituted the Sabbath for all people. The Sabbath is a day of rest, worship, and delight in God and His creation.
Baptism
By baptism we confess our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We receive the Spirit, become members of Christ's body, and rise to walk in newness of life.
The Second Coming
The second coming of Christ is the blessed hope of the church, the grand climax of the gospel. The Savior's coming will be literal, personal, visible, and worldwide.
